Julius Karanja Mbatia, a Kenyan citizen working for Pan African Climate Justice Alliance as a Programme Assistant where he serves as the Climate Finance Focal Point. He implements a resilience pastoralism programme in ASAL areas of East Africa and is strongly involved in PACJA’s policy advocacy work. He is currently a fellow within the project’s GCF two-year fellowship programme which is part of Civil Society Readiness to the Green Climate Fund Project. He is part of the global civil society GCF team.
He has been and still is a strong advocate of youth engagement in climate change work. He is involved in UNFCCC YOUNGO Climate finance working group and a member of Africa Forest Forum.
