The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is the climate finance mechanism of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and is the largest multilateral climate fund in the world. The management of the Fund is governed by the GCF Board, which convenes three times each year to help facilitate consensus-based decision-making among the Board Members, representing developed and developing countries.
The Board Meetings also bring together key representatives from member countries, civil society, financial institutions, and the private sector for a multisectoral discussion on effective, inclusive, and sustainable ways of responding to the climate crisis.
The 40th Board Meeting of the GCF (B.40) is held on October 21 to 24, 2024 in Songdo, Incheon, South Korea—also home to the Fund’s headquarters. The webcast of this board meeting may be accessed here.
