The Green Climate Fund is the world’s largest multilateral climate fund, serving as the operating entity of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)’s climate finance mechanism. Established at COP16 in 2010, the Fund is governed by the GCF Board, whose members represent both developed and developing countries.
The GCF Board convenes for meetings thrice each year, along with key representatives from member countries, civil society, financial institutions, and the private sector, with the aim of facilitating multisectoral discussion and consensus-based decision-making finding effective, inclusive, and sustainable ways forward in responding to the climate crisis.
The 44th Board Meeting of the Green Climate Fund (B.44; also the first Board Meeting of 2026), will be held 25-28 March, 2026 at the GCF’s headquarters in Songdo, Incheon, South Korea. The live webcast of B.44 may be accessed through the GCF Website.
