The Green Climate Fund is the operating entity of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)’s climate finance mechanism, and the largest multilateral climate fund in the world. Following its establishment at COP16 in 2010, the Fund is governed by the GCF Board, whose members represent both developed and developing countries.
The GCF Board convenes for meetings three times each year, where they are joined by key representatives from member countries, civil society, financial institutions, and the private sector. At meetings, the Board aims to facilitate consensus-based decision-making towards effective, inclusive, and sustainable ways forward in climate action.
The 45th Board Meeting of the Green Climate Fund (B.45), will be held 29 June to 2 July, 2026 at the … in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. This also marks the first Board Meeting held in the country.
