The GCF and Gender 101

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is the world’s largest fund dedicated to addressing the needs of adaptation and mitigation in developing countries. Recognizing the differentiated impacts of climate change and climate action on women, the GCF has established gender as a key element of its programming and architecture. Join the GCF LAC Gender Group tomorrow Wednesday, May 25 at 11:00 AM EST to dive into the GCF, and how its gender policy works.

The GCF LAC Gender Group is a network of feminist and environmental organizations facilitated by WEDO which seek to overview, promote, and advocate for the inclusion of gender at the GCF, with special regard to projects in Latin America.

Introducción al género en el GCF

El Fondo Verde para el Clima (FVC) es el mayor fondo del mundo dedicado a atender las necesidades de adaptación y mitigación en los países en desarrollo. Reconociendo los impactos diferenciados del cambio climático y la acción climática sobre las mujeres, el GCF ha establecido el género como un elemento clave para su programa y arquitectura. Únanse a la sesión liderada por el Grupo de Género del GCF LAC mañana miércoles 25 de mayo a las 11:00AM EST para profundizar sobre el GCF, y explorar cómo funciona su política de género.

El Grupo de Género del GCF LAC es una red facilitada por WEDO de organizaciones feministas y ambientalistas que busca revisar, promover y abogar por la inclusión del género en el GCF, con especial atención a los proyectos del Fondo en América Latina.
