The Green Climate Fund is the world’s largest multilateral climate fund, and is the operating entity of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)’s climate finance mechanism. It is governed by the GCF Board, with members representing both developed and developing countries.
Since the Fund’s operationalization, the GCF Board has convened for meetings three times yearly, where the Board aims to foster consensus-based decision-making on global climate action that is effective, inclusive, and sustainable for all Parties. They are joined at these meetings by key representatives from member countries, financial institutions, the private sector, and civil society, who contribute to the review and discussion of policies and funding proposals submitted to the Board for consideration.
The 46th Board Meeting of the Green Climate Fund (B.46) will be held on October 26 to 29, 2026 at the Fund’s headquarters in Songdo in Incheon, Republic of Korea.
